From my Santa Fe Vacation to
work on a book project. Another impossibly gorgeous place. Where I
did not get enough pictures!
Spring hits
Santa Fe like a paintbrush. The almost painfully blue high-altitude
skies, the low-lying purple catmint, yellow forsythia, and western
red bud are all in bloom. The cottonwood and willows along the banks
of the Santa Fe River and Aquacita Madre vibrate greenly…ready
to burst into millions of sparkling leaves. Rainbows of tulips
welcome you, flanked by last years Russian sage and chamisa, still
mute. The Indians eagerly greeted the early spring greens, wild
tansy mustard and peppergrass, as an welcome addition to a bland
winter diet. As we did, in our own way, rejoicing over the infinite
variations of green and color among the adobe homes. |
